Novel 'Pulang' Karya Leila S. Chudori: Analisis Posmodernisme Linda Hutcheon

Novel Pulang merupakan novel yang terbit tahun 2012 dan menggunakan latar historis, sosial, dan politik tragedi G30S/PKI 1965 yang dicampuradukkan dengan unsur fiksi. Percampuran antara unsur faktual dan unsur fiktif tersebut berfungsi untuk menarasikan kembali peristiwa yang telah lampau tanpa membuat karya menjadi nostalgia. Dalam proses narasi ini, penulis memunculkan gagasan dan keberpihakannya. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui melalui oposisi antara pusat dan pinggiran. Sesuai dengan konsep tersebut, teori posmodernisme oleh Linda Hutcheon digunakan untuk memahami tujuan dan gagasan penulis terutama berkaitan dengan kondisi masa kini. Dari penelitian ini, diketahui unsur faktual dicampurkan dengan unsur fiksi berupa tokoh, penokohan, dan alur sebagai pembangun cerita. Dalam narasi tersebut, penulis menyampaikan gagasannya melalui tokoh-tokoh yang terpinggirkan, seperti eksil politik yang tidak memiliki kewarganegaraan dan anggota keluarga dari para tertuduh komunis. Selain gagasan mengenai pinggiran, dapat ditelusuri pula kontekstualisasi novel Pulang yang berkaitan dengan kondisi historis, sosial, dan politik di masa kini. Novel Pulang berusaha mengkritik penyelesaian permasalahan hukum dan HAM dalam pembantaian pasca G30S/PKI 1965 yang tidak kunjung selesai, militerisme dan otorisme pemerintahan dalam era Ore Baru, sekaligus menjadi salah satu pengingat akan munculnya kembali usaha-usaha untuk memecah belah kesatuan bangsa kita.

Novel entitled Pulang by Leila S. Chudori is a novel that published in 2012 and use the historical, social, and political backgrounds that is blended with fictional elements. The function of mixing factual and fictional elements is to narrates the past event without making the work into nostalgia. In this narrative process, the author brings out her idea and shows her agreement or disagreement. The idea of the writer can be known through the opposition between the center and the minority. According to that concept, Linda Hutcheon’s theory of postmodernism is used in order to understand the goals and ideas of the author that are mainly related to the present conditions. From this research, the factual elements are used and blended with elements of fiction such as characters and plot. In this narrative, the author conveys her idea through the marginalized figures, such as a political exile who has no citizenship and the family member of the political prisoners. In addition to ideas about the marginal and minority, then it can be identified with a happening phenomenon. The contextualizing of Pulang is deal with historical, social, and political condition in the present. Pulang is trying to criticize the resolution of legal issues and human rights in the post-war massacre after G30S/PKI 1965 that has not completed yet, militarism and authoritarianism of governance in the Orde Baru era, and in the same time, being reminder about the attempts to divide the unity of our nation.
