Studi pada kajian ini ingin mengkaji lebih jauh mengenai konflik linkungan yang terjadi di wilayah pertambangan migas Blok Gundih, Desa Sumber, Kecamatan Kradenan, Kabupaten Blora. Konflik di wilayah pertambangan ini bermula ketika Pemerintah bersama perusahaan konsorsium melakukan pembangunan pertambangan gas di wilayah Blok Gundih. Akan tetapi pembangunan ini mendapat respon negatif dan penolakan dari berbagai kelompok kepentingan. Fokus dalam penelitian ini ingin melihat bagaimana lingkungan, khususnya sumber daya air menjadi entitas penting yang diperebutkan dalam konflik yang terjadi diarea pertambangan migas. Studi ini ingin melihat sumber-sumber utama penyebab terjadinya konflik, bagaimana proses dan bentuk-bentuk konflik yang terjadi hingga upaya rekonsiliasi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi konflik. Untuk membaca konflik yang terjadi dikawasan Blok Gundih, kami menggunakan pendekatan konflik yang ditawarkan oleh Homer-Dixon dan Sudharto P.Hadi. Homer-Dixon menguraikan tentang hubungan kausalitas yang menunjukkan adanya faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya konflik, proses hingga bentuk-bentuk konflik yang terjadi. Berikutnya untuk mengetahui mengenai proses rekonsilasi atas konflik, kami menggunakan pendekatan yang ditawarkan oleh Sudharto P.Hadi. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan observasi langsung dilokasi penelitian. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa adanya kelangkaan lingkungan, khususnya terbatasnya sumber daya air dan efek-efek sosial yang kemudian muncul menjadi penyebab utama terjadinya konflik. Setiap aktor dengan sumber daya yang dimiliki terus memperjuangkan kepentingannya. Konflik pun kemudian berkembang dari bentuk yang paling sederhana hingga kekerasan. Mediasi menjadi alternatif pemecahan masalah atas berlangsungnya konflik di Blok Gundih setelah proses negosiasi langsung tanpa perantara tak bisa membuahkan hasil. Keseteraan dalam memperoleh informasi menjadi hal penting dalam proses mediasi.

This study would like to further explore the conflicts that occurred in the oil and gas mining areas of Gundih Block, Sumber Village, Kradenan Sub-District, Blora Regency. Conflict in this mining area began when the Government and the consortium company undertook the construction of gas mining in the Gundih Block area. However, this development received negative responses and rejection from various interest groups. The focus of this research is to see how the environment, especially water resources, becomes an important entity contested in the conflict that occurs in oil and gas mining areas. This study would like to look at the main sources of the causes of the conflict, how the processes and forms of conflict that occur until reconciliation efforts can be done to resolve the conflict. To read the conflicts that occurred in the Gundih Block, we used the conflict approaches offered by Homer-Dixon and Sudharto P.Hadi. Homer-Dixon describes the causality relationship which shows the factors that cause conflict, the process to the forms of conflict that occurred. Next to know about the reconciliation process of the conflict, we use the approach offered by Sudharto P.Hadi. The method in this research use qualitative research method with case study type. Data collection in research is done by interview, documentation study and direct observation of research location. The conclusions of this study confirm that environmental scarcity, particularly the limited water resources and social effects that later emerged were the main causes of conflict. Every actor with his resources continues to pursue his interests. Conflict then evolved from the simplest form to violence. Mediation became an alternative problem solving for the conflict in Block Gundih after the process of direct negotiations without intermediaries could not produce results. The process of obtaining the same information is important in the mediation process.
