ABSTRACT Concerns regarding urban growth – which is impacting the social system and cultural change in the society, later gave an idea to create a "creative village". Through the establishment of this village, there are certain objectives that need to be achieved in order to solve the earlier problems that exist. Those objectives were to make this village as a place to stay, as the house – in the sense that this house will be used as a haven, an educational place, and a place to preserve the art and culture. It is not like the usual house functions in the current urban era, which decreased in the term of sense and value. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Creative Village Dago could survive in the midst of growth and development of the city of Bandung. This research was conducted at the Dago Pojok Creative Village, Bandung, with descriptive and qualitative research methods. This research was done by doing interviews and field observations. The qualitative approach is expected to give a clearer picture and give more explorative explanation in explaining the survival strategies of Dago creative village. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the Dago creative village is able to survive because of the ability of its people to take advantages of existing resources, the community's ability to make the Dago village more useful, good response from the society who later give a positive impact on the development of this creative village, and the communities’ ability to create strategies to make the creative village they make still exist until today.
