ABSTRACT The main purpose of the thesis is to discuss about the factors which cause the dynamics of comfort woman dispute settlement in East Asia. The main focus in East Asia’s State is in South Korea, China, and Taiwan who make a demand to Japan. There is comfort woman victim in South Korea, China, and Taiwan, they are all the women who became sex slave Japan in World War II. This comfort woman victim demand a compensation and an apology from Japan, but there’s difference between three state when they asked the demand to Japan, there is high demand and low demand. South Korea is the country that asked for the highest demand, then followed by China, and the last one is Taiwan which asked the lowest demand to Japan. That represents that there are dynamics of comfort woman dispute settlement in East Asia. This thesis use three theories to explain the dynamics of comfort woman dispute settlement in East Asia, first is Social Identity theory, second is the political system theory, and the last is the national interest theory. The dynamics of comfort woman dispute settlement in South Korea, China, and Taiwan is affected of that three factors cause the difference of Social Identity, Political System, and National Interest of each state.
