ABSTRACT Social Capital Role of Community within CSR Programs from JOB Pertamina-Talisman Jambi Merang Corporation in Pulai Gading Village Such as financial capital and human capital, social capital in the meantime recognized as prime factor that decided a succeeded of development program in some country. Social capital can be using as a tool to measures trust and participation level are big or small in some community. This case really relevant with implementation CSR concept. The Implementation of CSR concept through community development activity supposed to be synergistic using of usefulness social capital value. Between CSR and social capital have two ways relations of causality and mutual influence. This research focused on contribution of social capital within CSR Programs from JOB Pertamina-Talisman Jambi Merang Corporation in Pulai Gading Village. The qualitative method with descriptive study approach was selected in this research. Data were taken with interviews to relevant persons and secondary data were added to strengthen the result of research. The result of social capital representation from society furthermore would be analyze on contribution within CSR Programs from JOB Pertamina-Talisman Jambi Merang Corporation. Findings indicate Pulai Gading Village has high heterogenity level within community. Generally, Community in Pulai Gading build gotong royong value that has configured based from tradition and root culture. Mbangun desa concept capables to framing the perception from community about the meaning of cohesion bonding to achieve the purpose, although constrained by the distance inter territory, social bonding reality from Dusun 1 territory, and domination on taking decision from elite persons that often be obstacle to preserve social capital. Nevertheless, social activity such as gotong royong, patrolling activity, nyumbang, sinoman, takziyah, pance and several forums capable to keep the balance of social capital existence. Consider about CSR programs from JOB Corporation. There are found several social capital dimension that was not contributed. Social Capital dimension teamwork and collective action , information and communication, and then social cohesion and participation were not actualized on several programs such as mobile library, village meeting hall renovation, and scholarship. It cause the management of implementation programs less of involving community participation holisticly. Thus, the conclusion about relevance between JOB CSR programs and social capital. Several JOB CSR programs that tend to charity type without accompaniment process within implementation could not touch all the social capital dimension yet.
