ABSTRACT Nglanggeran village is a tourist village located in the district Patuk of Gunungkidul Regency. Limited natural resources and infrastructure, leading to the village is included into isolated areas. Nglanggeran village have original condition so alarming. With all the limitations that exist, the population depend for their livelihood on agriculture for survival. In 1998, activities in agriculture began to be abandoned, the village began to develop ecotourism Nglaggeran Ancient Volcano. At the beginning of the tourism development initiated by Sugeng Handoko and the local youth. The concept of social entrepreneurship promoted by the village community Nglanggeran have something unique and very interesting. The uniqueness of the application of the concept of social entrepreneurship are currently on the innovations made by youth innovation in the development of eco-tourism, so as to increase the income of people and open access for both public and private stakeholders to participate in community development. Issues to be addressed through this research is how is being done the concept of social entrepreneurship development of community-based ecotourism in the Nglanggeran village? What is the role of youth in development of social entrepreneurship ecotourism ? What innovations is being done in social entrepreneurship to develop community-based ecotourism in the Nglanggeran village? Barriers faced and how the impact of the development of the ecotourism youth social entrepreneurship ?. While the purpose of this study was to determine the development of innovative social entrepreneurship community based ecotourism in the Nglanggeran village . This is done by identifying the concept of social entrepreneurship development of ecotourism in Nglanggeran , identifying the role of youth and innovation made in the construction of ecotourism, as well as knowing the various obstacles faced , and the impacts.Theories on the social entrepreneurship adapted from Richard Cantillon, William Bill Drayton, Praszkier dan Nowak, Skoll, Germak dan Singh, Dhewanto, Rachma Fitriati, Gregory Dees, and, theories of the role of youth in development of social entrepreneurship ecotourism adapted from Bamberger dan Shams, Mubyarto, Ndraha, Abu Huraerah, theories of innovations social entrepreneurship adapted from Drabenstott, Peter Drucker, Fodor dan Sitayi, Florida, Lumpkin, John Howkins, Schumpeter, Yoeti, Inskeep, Booms dan Bitner and then theories of Barriers faced and how the impact of the development of the ecotourism youth social entrepreneurship adapted from Nandi, Soetrisno, Ida Rosida, and Gumelar Sastrayuda. This research used the qualitative metodelogy approach with the method descriptif. From the results of this study concluded that social entrepreneurship development of ecotourism in the Nglanggeran village has four main elements, namely social value, social creation and social benefit. Youth and village community Nglanggeran productive activities by utilizing the natural resources Ancient Volcano through several activities in the field of education and training community; control of economic, social, cultural, and environmental; development of integrated marketing in product marketing, price marketing, tourism marketing, and promotional activities.
