ABSTRACT New media excels in speed and makes communication easier at the same time, which is massively relied upon by human in all life aspects. Economic, education, politic, social activities and even up to the nation defense system, all frequently utilize new media throughout the day. One aspect that makes use of new media as a hope is the emergence of Suara Komunitas Website as a tool of policy advocacy. Suara Komunitas does not walk alone, it is used by people who initiated the changes so it can benefit local community. Using a case study method, researcher is trying to discover how the utilization of Suara Komunitas Website as a tool of policy advocacy. Referring to the case study, this method was used to discover pattern of advocacy and the use of new media inside. The pattern is obtained by interviewing the management team of the media and citizen journalist who work directly in the field. This study revealed a number of findings. Judging from the factors that affect the citizen journalist's advocacy activities, conventional media and non-governmental organizations played the big role in the success of the use of new media.
