2016 | Skripsi | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalABSTRACT Taiwan foreign policy is seen as the gate to understand the notably issue of the cross-strait relations. The development and transformation of the foreign policy has made a notorious milestone in its journey. A numerous foreign policies have been implemented by the government to cope with the situation. Different policy makers with their distinctive technique in the foreign policy embellish the cross-strait atmosphere as to achieve the state interests. The formulation of Taiwan foreign policy is closely associated with the domestic condition that may force the policy makers to proceed their foreign policy in particular way. It can be seen from two Taiwan presidential eras, under Chen Shui-bian and Ma Ying-jeou administration. In both period of time, Taiwan implemented slightly different foreign policy behavior. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is, through the analysis of domestic factors in both Chen‘s and Ma‘s administration on influencing Taiwan foreign policy, the research can discover the main domestic factors and the causes that motivate the foreign policy.
