Strategi Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Prestasi Hard Skill dan Soft Skill Siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 7

ABSTRACT SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta is a High School that has a superior performance in Non-Academic fields. Football became one of Non-Academic activities that are a mainstay and the main attraction in this school. However, until now the overall school performance has not increased significantly. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine how the Strategies in this high schools to improve Academic achievement (Hard Skill) and Non-Academic (Soft Skills). This study used qualitative methods with the analysis of structural functional theory (AGIL) belong to Parsons. In this study, data collection techniques is done by observation, indepth interview, and documentation literature. The study performed at Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta High School. Informants in this study are the School Principal, Vice Principal of Student Field, Counseling body, The extracurricular coaches, Teachers, and Students. Results showed there was an effort of school to improve student’s potential, although the fact the students resource have a low input. Interestingly, with the schools existing problems, the student’s of SMA Muhammadiyah 7 still can demonstrate achievement’s in Academic as well as Non-Academic activities. This proves that there were an efforts and Strategies undertaken by school in improving the quality of student’s. Results of analysis can be concluded that the school has successfully performs its function and role, and with the existing achievement’s, then the school can improve and develop trouble shooting in dealing with problems in the future.
