Abstract Disaster is a tragedy that often occurs in this country. Meteorology, climatology and geophysics conditions in Indonesia contribute to many of these potential disasters. Therefore, risk prevention of disasters has become a crucial matter to overcome. Apart handling disaster on site, the effectiveness of distributing disaster information has become a matter that cannot be disregarded. Especially in a world connected by various media with variety of overflowing information that can easily be obtained. But, what’s happening in Indonesia is, disaster information is considered a crisis information that needs only to be reported after the incident occurred. This pattern is easily found in the mainstream medias. Providing information in a well-balanced proportion, before and after the incident. Nevertheless, in the midst of the disasters that has struck this country, a media institution by the name of Global Philanthropy Media has surffaced. A company in the lines of media under the name of Aksi Cepat Tanggap. This institution has devoted their focus on disasters and humanitarian affair. Becoming a core proses in the institution that is potentially interesting to be reviewed from the editorial point of view. Assuming, the mainstream medias interest of disasters information is only a few of their urgencies that needs to be published, Global Philanthropy Media in the other hand addresses this subject in an exclusive manner. Methodology used in this research refers to qualitative description, focusing analysis on certain unit from various phenomenon’s, having in depths attributes accurately on point with objectives of the research. These objective is achieved by illustrating how Global Philanthropy Media obtain, execute and distribute disaster information to the complexity of the four phases of disaster; mitigation, preparedness, respond, and recovery.
