ABSTRACT This study aims to understand social construction process that led to the judgment mischievous for smoking women. The mischievous judgment which comes to smoking women is not something that suddenly presents through the construction process of feminine and masculine that appear based on biological differences of men and women. Tracking process of the social construction is done by observing the externalization, objectification and internalization process through the selected interviewees. This research uses phenomenological research methods which able to see the objectivity in patriarchal society about the value „mostly women‟ who have been established. Patriarchal society in this study is represented by Ms Sita and Aunt Ngatin as women who had objectified the value of „mostly women‟ in themselves. When the objectivity slammed on the phenomenon of smoking women, then what happens is smoking woman got negative viewpoint names mischievous by both informant. According to them as society members, smoking has been considered to be in the realm of masculinity which is synonymous with men and should not be touched by women. In journeys, those three social constructs forming process resulted different mischievous expression in two interviewees. This is due to each individual is formed through different social settings and different internalization process. Keywords: smoking woman; social construction; mischievous judgement
