Whistle Blower System PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi:(Analisis Peran PR PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi dalam Keberlangsungan Penerapan Good Corporate Governance

ABSTRACT Good Corporate Governance (GCG) regulated as one of the solutions for rampant corruption in Indonesia. The principles in movement mechanism of GCG inside an institutional system are transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness. These principles needs to be held in terms of making a trustworthy company for investor, customer, as well for another stakeholders : community, workers, and government. For instance, GCG is a significant factor to create a good and trustworthy company. GCG could be achieved depends on its inside system which is whistle blower system. It is a system that specifically allows stakeholders to secretly, anonymously, and independently make complaints about unethical behaviour. The object of this research is PT Pertamina Hulu Energi as a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Persero based on the acknowledgement of implementation of GCG in this company‟s system. The implementation involves all elements inside the institution, including the company‟s public relations. The research was conducted to acknowledge the roles and actions of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi‟s public relations. As a result, it is showed that the implementation of GCG is still ineffective inside the internals. It is caused by various aspects. One of them is the imperfect GCG socialization, even on its first stage, by the PR team.
