In particular, peacekeeping operations along with it‘s troops conduct of SEA will be connected to the analysis to further aim an understanding and find an answer to the gap which have been created with the policy formation. This study takes Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic as examples as comparison of how the conducts differ or similar to one another. This would be done through a critical feminism perspective in order to broaden the notion of gender mainstreaming. This thesis intend to deliver an argument that the gender mainstreaming policy can still be pursued without making the presence of women as its priority, based on the original intends of Gender Mainstreaming, UN Security Council Resolutions, and Zero Tolerance Policy. UN reports and Resolution are the main selected material. The concepts of gender mainstreaming, sexual exploitation abuses, peacekeeping missions would be presented in order to demonstrate that the way the United Nations try to resolve those issues is not efficient.
