ABSTRACT There is something interesting of a internet radio on the southern part of jogja, working with voluntary system and a theme about book / literature, named Radio Buku. This radio station is using the service broadcasting audio transmitted through or known as web radio, net radio, streaming radio or e-radio. In addition, basic theme broadcasting aboutbook / literature reflected in each program and events. While on the other hand, Radio Buku have to face challenges competition, management, and the condition of target market. Competition with another various radio terrestrial especially in jogja which also conducted of convergence with the internet. In addition when the Radio Book targeting all ages and focus on a particular age on literacy, he had to deal with market conditions in Indonesia which is considered still lacking in terms of their interest in reading. As written in the site Kompasiana where a non-profit institution engaged in education, PISA, in 2012 the results about quality of education survey released 65 countries and Indonesia as a country is on the number 64, it means that Indonesia ranks two from below. Though most of his show-based literacy administered on a voluntary basis. From here, the researcher feel the production management at the level of the internet radio show needs to be reviewed to be the root of the whole Radio Bukuo management in keeping his identity as the literacy radio.
