Peran Sekolah dan Keluarga Serta Kemitraannya dalam Menunjang Keberhasilan Siswa:(Studi SMK Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa)

2016 | Skripsi | SosiologiABSTRACT This research aims to determine the role of school and families as well as its partnership in supporting the success of SMK Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa. In understanding the success of the students, this study restricting it by borrowing a concept of Benjamin Bloom who mentions that educational activities are always directed in three areas of interest; (1) the field of cognitive, (2) the field of affective, (3) psychomotor fields. This research is a descriptive qualitative study, using the technique of in-depth interviews and observation. It is expected to be found as a comprehensive in-depth data. The research was conducted at SMK Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa and the homes of five families with the distribution of addresses in Berbah, Krapyak, Wiroguan, Bintaran Kidul and Umbulharjo. The study says that the role of the school is divided into three terms; school programs, norms or values, and the role of Pamong (Teacher). Pamong has a very important role in running the program and the value is there. Actually, not all Pamongs can consistently run the “Among” systems, firm and sensitive to the enforcement of discipline, teaching with full efforts and loyalty. One of the main causes is the economic factor, as the Private (swasta) schools where the salaries obtained under the different associations of schools in general. This impeded the role of the school as a whole. Several attempts were made such as the strengthening of the Tamansiswa's values and Pamongs who are mutually controlling and reprimanding. In terms of the family, the role performed is a habit, norms or values and the role of parents. Parents as the actors are very important in instilling values and affirms existing habits. From the research, families with parents KMS (Welfare card) firmer, more attentive, and well- established cooperation between father and mother. In contrast to the nonKMS families, parents are giving more freedom, and also the lack of cooperation between the father and the mother. The difference in treatment between the family with KMS and without KMS is comparable to the output of the attitudes and achievements. Partnerships between schools and families intertwined through roles are mutually supportive. Although the resources are different, but they complement each other in order to create a strong network. While the form of coordination between schools and families to remain intertwined partnership are (1) maintaining communication, (2) giving each others advice, (3) run each role to the fullest. From the research, families with KMS tend to be partnering rather than families without KMS. In their role both in the school and the family, children or students are very influential. How is consciousness constructed by the child to respond to the action of the school and the family.
