Ilmu Sosiatri)ABSTRACT In this globalization era, job market brings influence in every aspects of life, including the advancement in various sectors which is implementing all kinds of working competence that increasingly developed. Therefore, it requires job training and productivity developing in order to prepare the future human resources and bussinessmen to be ready in joining in the job market. This research is aimed to find out the role of BLKPP Job Training and Productivity Development Board in giving training in handicraft skill. The training implementation process is giving handicraft skill practice that in its implementation it accompanied by experts suitable to each sectors, such as tailor, embroider, and beauty. BLKPP presents as one of non formal educational form which is not simply focus on academic matters, but also accompnied by practice in order the education participants will be able to improve their capability to obtain, to understand, to manage and to improve their ability so that they are able to search for job vacancy suitable to their sectors or open the bussiness or become bussinessmen. This qualitative study used a descriptive approach. This study describes a situation or event and do not look for or explain the relationship and does not test hypotheses or make predictions. Intake of informants by using purposive sampling technique is to take a sample data source with a certain considerations. Informants in this study a number of 15 people consisting of 2 facilitators training in sewing and embroidering, 4 learners sew, embroider 4 students, 1 facilitator training beauty and 4 learners beauty. This study used a literature review on the role, organization and training according to the researchers deemed appropriate to analyze the role BLKPP in the provision of skills training craft. The process of data collection is done by using the four ways namely: observation, interviews, documentation and literature. Observations be the first step to see the whole of the activities undertaken by these communities. To support the information or data that has been obtained, the use of documentation and literature such as photos, videos, recordings, and books related. The results showed that the role of Training and Productivity Development (BLKPP) can assist in meeting social needs of the vocational training of sewing, embroidery and beauty. Interest BLKPP independence for learners to practice skills, BLKPP a Technical Implementation Unit UPT Disnakertrans DIY, BLKPP provide training involving energy professionals to escort learners in training, in addition to facilitators who assist, learners are also given support facilities vocational training in accordance with department taken.
