Nilai Humanis dalam Lakon Mahabarata:(Analisis Resepsi Anak Muda terhadap Pertunjukan Wayang Orang Sriwedari)

ABSTRACT This study uses reception analysis in cultural studies approach, which shows that audiences view the media actively and create meaning critically, also with using their interpretation. With choosing the young people as research subject, researcher did interview and identified to three informans of Sriwedari Solo Human Puppet Dance Performing Art by ages, education backgrounds, social backgrounds, and genders that are distinct for interpreting humanism values in Mahabharata stories show. The results showing that audiences use frame of reference and field of experience of them for doing humanism values interpretation in Mahabharata stories. Mostly audiences who have more knowledges about human puppet dance will be more doing interpretation with the different point of view, meanwhile the other that has less knowledges about human puppet dance will be doing interpretation by personal necessary. For the audiences, Sriwedari Solo Human Puppet Dance Performing Art is the alternative media for increasing their point of view about life. Also for some people, puppet show performing art is used as media for sharing about cultural experiences and socialization in human communication where the meanings are built by interaction and thought.
