Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kunjungan Wisatawan Mancanegara ke Kampoeng Batik Laweyan

The batik icon and its old buildings embedded in Solo could easily be found in that tourist destination. This destination in potent to be developed, because a resort that offers native cultures as well as its archeologically historic evidences is a rarity. The genuinity of this potential should have been pretty much attracted tourist easly, especially foreign tourists who love different and outside their mundane everyday things. However, facts showed that the numbers indicating foreign tourist visitation to Kampoeng Batik Laweyan is still low. This research is done in order to identify which factors could attract foreign tourists to visit said destination. By focusing solely on foreign tourists, four factors are found to be analyzed: attraction, accessibility, travel agents, and brand. From the existing result, attraction becomes have important role in attracting foreign tourists. However, it is inadequate as it was not supported by other three factors, that is, accessibility, the roles and functions of travel agents, and also their knowledges regarding Kampoeng Batik Laweyan’s – it’s branding. Thus, even though Laweyan has an attracting appeals, it would be for naught were it not supported by the other factors. Suggestion that can be given are as following: (1) An integrated tourism management by Forum Pengembangan Kampoeng Batik Laweyan is needed so that the visitors will know the village as whole from the package that has been offered, instead of just from one stall; (2) A simple research about the number and the motivation of the overseas visitors is needed; (3) Socialization about the importance of tourism and Laweyan society’s participation to boost the development of Kampoeng Batik Laweyan is needed; (4) The cooperation by all sides to create a better promotion strategy to target visitors from abroad is need.
