Kebijakan Pariwisata Halal Sebagai Instrumen Strategi Nation Branding Jepang Di Asia Tenggara

ABSTRACT Halal tourism phenomenon in the international sphere isn‟t a new trend. The emergence of foreign tourists from Southeast Asia as one of the dominant party visit Japan within five years, push Japan to develop halal tourism sector. The development of halal tourism sector is important because the need of Japan to do nation branding. Finally, in 2013 the Japanese government, under the leadership of Shinzo Abe, begin imposing policies related halal tourism. Halal tourism policy is able to improve the Japanese economy. Not only that, halal tourism policy confirms Japan's soft power in Southeast Asia.
