2016 | Skripsi | Ilmu KomunikasiABSTRACT Speech Act of Ex-President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Parody Account (Qualitative Content Analysis of Twitter Parody Account @SBYudhoyno during Presidential Campaign Period, June 4th 2014 – July 5th 2014) In this era of computer mediated communication, social media has became the main platform for people to express themselves and speak their mind. That mainly because of the convenience it provides for people to spread their ideas to many people in a short ammount of time. But that very convenience also brings a crucial issue, that every user also has the convenience to manipulate their identity. Twitter parody account is an interesting phenomenon that rose from the issue of identity manipulation where a parody account is an account that immitates other account’s identity. This phenomenon leads author to a parody account called @SBYudhoyno that immitates ex-president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s online identity from his official Twitter account, @SBYudhoyono. Its elaborate immitation and its unique tweets are the reason why @SBYudhoyno was chosen as a research object. Meanwhile, the 2014 presidential campaign period, that happened from June 4th 2014 until July 5th 2014, was chosen as the research period because there were a lot of political activities that exceeded previous presidential campaign period and also a period that marked the end of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s leadership. This research used a descriptive approach, with discovering pattern analysis and Speech Act theory as the main tools to analyze this phenomenon. Lastly, the goal of this research is to map the communication pattern from @SBYudhoyno during the 2014 presidential campaign period. Author hope that this research could be a useful reference for future studies.
