Perubahan Pola Perilaku Suku Dayak Bidayuh dalam Peralihan Lahan Perladangan di Desa Jagoi Babang, Kalimantan Barat

ABSTRACT The Dayak Bidayuh tribes have a lot of local wisdom among their shifting cultivation. These values can be vanish because people of Dayak Bidayuh start to stop their shifting cultivation activity because increasing of palm and rubber plantation areas around Jagoi Babang village. These increasing growth of palm and rubber causes Dayak Bidayuh people loses their indigenous forest, which, in fact there were conflicts between Dayak Bidayuh people with palm corporation on take over land issues. Moreover, those several conflicts bring another big issues too; nationalism. This research explain about shifting cultivation problem in Jagoi Babang caused by land conversion. All data written in descriptive-qualitative methods; catches social impact (behavioral changes) of palm plantation increased growth to Dayak Bidayuh people that do shifting cultivation. On theoretical review, there are some related context between local wisdom theory, social change theory, and ethic theory (anthropocentrism and biocentrism) in Dayak Bidayuhs shifting cultivation activity nowadays. Those related context is shifting cultivation natural values (culture) has changes caused by no policies that protect indigenous forest and indigenous people. As an example, now Dayak Bidayuh people seen indigenous forest as an assets. It mean that as an assets, Dayak Bidayuh people can afford income by sell indigenous forest under indigenous law which held arrogantly; moreover if buyers come from private sector. This reaction makes government should take serious act to stop this distortion before it becomes deeply rooted in Dayak Bidayuh people mindset. This research aims to pull government’s trigger for Dayak Bidayuhs shifting cultivation problem so there’s good solution for them.
