Analisa Kebijakan Uni Eropa terhadap Negara-negara PIIGS sebelum Krisis Finansial 2008

ABSTRACT The Eurozone is single currency cooperation and be the first single currency cooperation worldwide. The Eurozone is an economic cooperation regulated under the European Union and the European Central Bank. Euro crisis 2008 is a significant event that proves European Union failed to keep economic stability within the Eurozone. PIIGS is abbreviate of Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain, a group of countries in the Eurozone with domestic economic problems. PIIGS countries failed to fulfill Convergences Criteria as main regulation of the Eurozone membership during 2001 - 2007. The European Union failed to prevent the Eurozone fall into Euro Crisis 2008 and the failure is the implication of the European Union economic policies during 2001 – 2007. This thesis analyzes why the European Union failed to anticipate crisis and why the European Union policies failed gave significant domestic economic improvements in PIIGS countries.
