Abstract The Great Barrier Reef is very important site for Australia and the world. Consist of the most diverse coral system, and also contribute a lot to the Australian economy. However, the site that appointed as world heritage site on 1981 is in constant danger. Facing danger from water pollutant, development and climate change, the reef is at critical state. WWF Australia tried to save the reef by acted as an interest group in Australian politics. While promoting the Reef as a new political agenda, WWF Australia put pressure to the Australian government to create a policy to save the Reef.
