ABSTRACT PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk. Perawang is a company that runs in the pulp, paper and packaging industries which distributes its products worldwide and employs thousands of workers with diverse backgrounds. Due to the vast number of employees, it becomes a challenge for the company to build and maintain harmonious relationship with them. An exceptional internal communication is the key to create amicable environment within staffs of the company, since it implies how messages are being delivered and retrieved in the organization. This research aims to discoverhow the company conducts its internal communication in its purpose to create a remarkable relationship with and within its workers. A case study method is used to understand the extent of the company’s internal communication in building relationship with its employees. The result proves that PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk Perawang has organized its internal communication by implementing an internal communication program. The program clearly depicts the structure of communication network within the company, both formally and informally. The structure also determines the media utilized by the company on its attempt to build a stronger relationship with its employee which related to interpersonal communication, group communication and mediated communication.
