2015 | Skripsi | Ilmu KomunikasiABSTRACT Community relations is a social obligation in modern business that has a very important role in the existence of a company as it can build friendships/good relations between the organization and the community so that the mutual reciprocity. The performance required of a public relations person to help organizations formulate philosophy, vision, and mission, as well as in setting and achieving goals of the organization to the public. To grow into a large company and is able to face the challenges, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk would have implemented a process of good corporate governance in order to ensure the company's competitiveness be maintained in all circumstances and provide added value to the surrounding community with the aim to maintain a harmonious relationship and mutually benefit each other. Therefore, this study was conducted to see and understand the implementation and participation in community relations program. The targets of this research is the local community in the area surrounding the company are located in contact directly with the company. PT Indocement been able to provide an overview of the implementation priority programs of community relations as a concern to the public. Theories on community relations in the adoption using the theory of Lattimore, et al (2010: 256-261) using research methods purposive sampling (intentionally) to determine informants and used a qualitative approach with case study is an explanatory reseacrh, where this study was conducted to explain how correspondence between the objectives and results of the implementation of community relations program with an evaluation process of community relations program. The results showed that the development of society in the implementation of community relations program has the principle of building a self-reliant community. Public participation in the implementation of community relations program can be viewed as the involvement of stakeholders (public and corporate) in managing community relations programs.
