Chinas Accession to the WTO: The Changes of Grain Production Policy under WTO Agreement

For years, China had difficulty to produce grain and sell it at a stable price. Finally, many farmers who felt harmed by this incident. Therefore, this study will discuss the accession of China to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and how the Chinese government's efforts to change its agricultural policy to improve the quality of wheat in accordance with WTO agreements. The theory will be used for this problem is Neoliberal institutionalist in which international organizations play an important role in influencing the policy of member states. More interestingly, international cooperation produces mutual strategies between organizations and member states to implement them in the member states. Thus, this research will show how serious China to change its policies in accordance with the WTO agreement and apply it in the field of agriculture, especially grain to create farmers‘ welfare and increase grain production.
