Pengaruh Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement(ECFA) terhadap Isu One China Antara Cina dan Taiwan

ABSTRACT China and Taiwan was under one administration before Civil War (1945 – 1949) had been won by China unfortunately forced Taiwan to be segregated. However, right after China and Taiwan was separated, territorial claiming issue became issue that was bringing cross strait relation between China and Taiwan as an conflictual issue. Different interpretation of mainland China’s ownership became a resistor to the encountering of China and Taiwan relation. This issue was often called as One China that is blown up until the first 20th century. How ever, the interesting part of China and Taiwan’s diplomatic tension is China and Taiwan keep remaining its trading activity. Even more, trading activity as the time goes by experiencing a acceleration, until 2010 they deal economic framework bounded these two to an institutionalized economic cooperation. Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) is an economic framework that become the gate of political relation China and Taiwan’s restoration. As the time goes, One China that ever become the biggest resistor of cross-strait relation is now shifting its priority, it is caused by the bound that is built by China and Taiwan. The Issue that is written in this paper use conseptual framework of “interest as a factor of cooperation” which highlight that there is a mutuality if interest behind the dealing of ECFA and the shifting of One China issue in political agenda between China and Taiwan. The future influence of ECFA and another economic relation towards political relation between China and Taiwan can be seen lately when China and Taiwan started to hold high level meeting to talk about bilateral cooperation.
