Abstract The Conceptualization of traditional border has been attributed to geographical, physical, tangible, natural and ended by fixation of states and territories limited only by certain artificial line among them. They were seen as a physical and static geographic outcome of socio-spatial dynamics. Contemporary, the study of borders has shifted to understanding border as a dynamic functional process. The concept of borders transform from seeing border as a final result of political negotiations of space into an unfinished process. Borders are not just simply lines but rather areas and networking of variable depth of meanings and functions rendering them to change in space and time continuously. In this article, author will try to analyze about how and why the concept of border in Europe was transformed. Using sobjectivism by Vincent Pouliot and perspective of “bordering” as an analitical base to find out the related answer and to understand the reason behind shifting border concepts and the process itself by looking at the background of international situation after World War II and the way the actors dealth with them Keywords: Border, Limit, Frontier, Concept, Transformation, Schengen, Europe, Regional, Territory, Sovereignty
