ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze whether Purbalingga expenditure allocation in the education sector already shows the level of gender sensitivity and analyze the factors that determine the applicability of gender responsive budgeting in the education sector. This study uses Purbalingga documents and interviews with relevant agencies. Thede results indicate education allocation Purbalingga already gender sensitive, but the budgets is still minimal. The lack of gender sensitive budget allocation because the allocation of expenditure for apparatus is greater that the budget for the society. There are several factors that determine the application that is responsive budgets in terms of policy, cultural, dan structural. Key words: gender, budget alocation, gender responsive budgeting.
