ABSTRACT Adoption of Innovations Rainbow Weaving Craft and the Implementation of Empowerment Based on Social Entrepreneurship in Dusun Sejati Desa, Desa Sumberarum, Kecamatan Moyudan, Kabupaten Sleman. Empowerment has beneficial role in achieving independence and welfare for marginal community. In order to actualize, not only camouflage or just government assumption, the new strategy which is appropriate with the society’s condition is necessary. Empowerment based on social entrepreneurship by Dremdelion Community Empowerment becomes entry point, which raises the local things to solve the social problem. The elements of social entrepreneurship are the innovation, entrepreneurship models, social impact and sustainability. The research is focused on the adoption process and diffusion innovation empowerment which is based on social entrepreneurship implementation in Dusun Sejati Desa, Desa Sumberarum, Kecamatan Moyudan, Kabupaten Sleman. Innovation-creation becomes important object that is done by Dreamdelion to solve social problem in the weaver community. Two years is not adequate time to observe the result in the society, so this research focused on the process of adoption and diffusion of innovation in the implementation of community empowerment. This research is used descriptive qualitative approach to gain comprehensive explanation. Qualitative analyzing obtains data as observation, deep interview, focused group discussion, documentation and study literature. This research also take analyze technic such as reduction data, presenting data, and conclusion. The result of the research on the process innovations of adoption rainbow weaving craft shows that most categorized in Majority Adopter. Although the material benefits have not been felt significantly, but the emergence of consciousness, motivation, self-confidential, and increasing creativity become the success benchmark in the process.
