Konsumsi Film Penonton Festival Film Lokal : (Studi Etnografi Konsumsi Film Penonton Festival Film Purbalingga 2015

2015 | Skripsi | Ilmu KomunikasiABSTRACT This research strive to show how the audiences of Festival Film Purbalingga (FFP) 2015 perform consumption practice with the film they watch in this Festival. This research use ethnography methods to answer the research question. The informant of this research consists of 3 people: 1 high school student, 1 loyal viewer from Purbalingga, and 1 viewer from the community. This research conducted in one month, from 2 to 30 May 2015 throughout the event in Purbalingga and Banyumas Raya. Since the regulation about film festival performance in Indonesia starts to loosened up, lot of film festival born and developed, one of them is Festival Film Purbalingga (FFP). FFP is a film festival which the succeed to reach remote villages, play the film and make a film competition for students, which the story is close to the life of local communities and district government. The quality of Indonesia‟s film is indeed in the hands of the filmmakers. But, quality of Indonesian film however, lies in the hand of the audiences. As a part of the stakeholder of a film festival, audiences can affect and be effected by the film festival. This is the background of this research, why the audiences become the important object to be studied. The result of this research show that the audiences of Festival Film Purbalingga 2015 had a consumption patterns, such as viewing location, community support, the motive to watch the film, and preference to watch local film. Banyumas‟s local audience can see themselves through the film, while the audience outside Banyumas can get the picture of Banyumas‟s people life through the local films in this festival. Audiences of FFP 2015 can discover local content or local issues about Banyumas Raya. Besides that,there‟s two big groups of audiences, the audience attending the festival to watch the film, and the audience attending the festival to enjoy it as an event.
