ABSTRACT System of direct legislative elections in 2014 opened the widespread practice of money politics in the city of Yogyakarta on behalf of charity, gift, hibbah and others. In a difficult situation such as this, money is a campaign tool powerful enough to influence the public to choose certain candidates. Intellectual and personal righteousness does not become a benchmark of eligibility for candidates, but financial wealth that determines winning in the election. With the formulation of the problem of how the influence of money politics in the urban community in the Prawirodirjan village, Gondomanan District, Yogyakarta, researchers will explore the practice of money politics used by the candidates with the methods of patronage. More specifically, this research see money politics in the Prawirodirjanvillage particularly in RT 52 RW 16, 53, 54 Prawirodirjan village, districts Gondomanan, Yogyakarta. The method used is qualitative method that is considered able to see it studied in greater depth and detail. One way in qualitative research is a case study. Reasons for using this method is that the method is considered to be able to see more deeply about how therole of money politics in directing the behavior of voters. The study was conducted to others parties that have a relationship with the object of research that includes community leaders, community and successful team. Techniques of data collection will be done in three ways, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Of the various forms of patronage in money politics, forms of patronage that occurred in the village in the model LedokPrawirodrijan vote buying and club goods. The most dominant form of patronage is to use money and goods. The amount of money they provide between Rp. 10.000 - Rp. 50,000 per person / per head of household. For prospective legislative, distribution of aid in the form of goods and money are customized to the needs of the territory that became the basis for their selection. Goods given by the candidates in the form of uniform RT, Christmas Package and Eid Package, cooking utensils, aid in the form of a duck. The distribution of goods is done by the legislative candidates before the campaign period and on election day. Meanwhile, the distribution of money or fresh money is given to the quiet period and on polling day. If you see the vote and see the form of patronage given the winning candidate and the candidate who lost, it can be analyzed by looking at the approaches of voting behavior that most models of patronage that used by the candidate or candidates the model of vote buying and club goods. Where it is known that the model leads to a vote buying more rational approach to voting behavior assumed that voters act rationally that gives voice to that bring maximum profit and loss for him and stressed that economic benefit that is individualized. Assistance in the form of goods, money, services is not a stand-alone instrument. In addition to aid, the ties of kinship, friendship, and the proximity of a person with a figure of candidates or team members is also a successful and influential instrument in determining the choice of the voters.
