ABSTRACT This study discusses the effectiveness of PNPM Mandiri Bleberan Tourism at the Tourism Village, District Playen, Gunungkidul in order to empower the people in the village. PNPM Mandiri Tourism is one government program designed to address the problems of poverty based on community empowerment. Tourism Village Bleberan in 2011 and 2013 assistance through PNPM Mandiri Tourism Village, a total of Rp. 240,000,000, - Rupiah. This study uses a quantitative method. Intake of using non-probability sample of samplng or nonrandom sampling with the number of respondents were 84 respondents who are villagers Bleberan who worked as a manager of a business unit Bleberan Tourism Village. From this research, it was found that the factor of the level of ability of managers of business units Tourism Village Bleberan, Suistability program output by types of needs Programs Business Unit Village Tourism Village and leadership style chairman of the management business unit Village Tourism significantly influence the effectiveness of PNPM Mandiri Tourism in community empowerment Tourism Village Bleberan.
