Polemik Kebijakan Penataan Kawasan di Kota Yogyakarta :(Studi kasus Kebijakan Penataan Kawasan Malioboro menjadi Kawasan Semi Pedestrian)

Abstract As a strategic area, there are many activities in Malioboro. Service and trade, tourism, arts and culture. Many activities make this area become more crowded and congested. Now, Malioboro face any problems like road congestion and chaos condition caused by large of parking and PKL in there. Because of that, Yogyakarta City Government and Yogyakarta Provincial Government planning a semi-pedestrian area in Malioboro. However, although this issue has a long time, semi-pedestrian area planning still face problems. One of the problems is resistance of parking community. Many actors in Malioboro like parking community, PKL community, and becak community. They have each interest and responses to the semi-pedestrian area planning on Malioboro. This research saw actors that involved in semi-pedestrian area planning in Malioboro and analyse their interest. And then, it will be seen who are still resistance to the planning and their reasons.
