ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the dynamics of development or Brayut Tourist Village in Sleman. In this study, Brayut Tourist Village became the main locus. This tourist village which has many obstacles in terms of development. Therefore, the dynamics of development in Brayut Tourist Village is influenced by internal factors and external factors, so they can know the change or the dynamics that occur in Brayut Tourist Village today. This study used qualitative methods to answer research questions. While the data collection was done by interviews the sources concerned. This research was also supported by secondary sources such as documents and images. The results of the research that has been conducted shows that from the beginning of the period, growth, and development until the period of independent in every aspect of both internal and external experience an increase or decrease. So that the dynamics that influence the development Brayut Tourist Village. In addition, the contribution of major events such as Ngayogjazz also a positive impact on the increase in tourist arrivals and also indirectly in terms of promotion. So they can know that Brayut Tourist Village is currently undergoing a period of stagnating and prioritize quantity rather than quality. From the analysis, it can be recommended in order to implement the development, Brayut Tourist Village manager not only must have to pay attention just to profit but also the quality must also be improved. The management also need to innovate in the development of tourism attractions in Brayut Tourist Village, so it is not monotonous tourist attractions offered. And in addition, there should be a setting that support in increasing participation of local people and the government should be more selective in bringing new tourist village so that the new tourist village which does not have the same theme with old tourist village.
