ABSTRACT REPRESENTATION OF GAY SOCIAL INTERACTION ON MOVIE (Semiotic Analysis on I Know What You Did on Facebook Movie) Problem related to the presence of gay in Indonesian Society still be an interesting object to be learned. Gay as minority still have many difficulties when doing social interaction, especially with Indonesian culture. I Know What You Did on Facebook become interesting because gay issues in this movie has never been studied before, and this movie also tell a story about a gay who has accepted his sexual orientation but still keep it as a secret in his social environment. Researchers used semiotic analysis method to see how gay character are conveyed to the audience through the symbol either directly or implicitly. Result from this research indicate that gay position in I Know What You Did on Facebook tend to be hurt and in disadvantaged position. Gay social interaction in this movie also shown to be really afraid that their sexual orientation would be disclosed, and the gay in this movie is likely to consider that their sexual orientation as a disgrace. In addition, issues that raised in this movie tend to talk only about the compliance of gay sexual desire although there would be bigger problem such as discrimination of gay in their society.
