Mamah Dedeh dan Aa Ber-aksi in Indosiar is a dakwah program that still populer in Indonesia now. This majority dakwah program’s audiences are women above 30 years old and married. This is because the messages that given by Mamah Dedeh are about domesticity, husband and wife relation in particular. However, the messages that given by Mamah Dedeh sometimes contradictory with gender perspective. The purpose of this research is to find out how mothers interpret Mamah Dedeh’s gender related messages. Reception analysis is the method that used in this research. This research found that five informant’s receptions towards gender issues related messages are majority in dominant-hegemonic positions from Stuart Hall’s Encoding-decoding theory. This means that the message receiver interpretation in line with the message sender. Keywords: audience, dakwah program, reception analysis.
