Ilmu Administrasi Negara)Development of tourism village is an exact steps taken by the government of the culture and tourism sector in order to accelerate growth, preserve culture and improve the welfare of the region. However, there are some problem in practice of management and development of tourism village model. The development of a tourism village in Bantul is rapidly reach 35 tourist village in 2014. It is important to investigate deeper the management of the tourist village by comparing two tourist village, Tembi Tourism Village as a pioneer of the development of tourist villages in Bantul and Krebet Tourism Village that had won the the tourism village contest and has been categorized as an independent tourism village. This study used qualitative methods to explore and describe management and the models, as well as the success rate of the tourism village from several indicators. Primary data sources were interviews and observations while the secondary data in the form of documentation. Then the data is processed using three components: data reduction, data display, and conclusion in accordance with the indicator. Then do the analysis and processing of the data obtained. To understand which is the better management of tourism village of Tembi and Krebet seen from the tourism village management model applied. While to understand the success rate of tourism village is determined from the four indicators, there are work opportunities, the development of new businesses, the number of visits and length of stay of tourists, as well as income levels. The management of both tourism village is community-based. Management of Tembi Tourism Tillage is better than Krebet Tourism Village viewed from the settlement of internal problems, the settlement of the problems with the community, planning and implementation of sustainable programs, as well as to give effect to the level of success of a tourism village that is the opening of new businesses, the number of tourist visits, work opportunities, and rising income levels.
