Community Radio, Community Participation, and Disaster (A Case Study of Society Participation in Lintas Merapi Community Radio in Klaten 2015) is a research on community participation in struggling of community radio based on disaster. This research study used was a case study of Lintas Merapi Community Radio. Lintas Merapi Community Radio, as a community radio based on disaster, has a crucial role for the society in Deles, Sidorejo, Kemalang, Klaten. The existence of Lintas Merapi Community Radio could not be detached from the courage of the community participation in maintaining its existence for around 13 years after they established. So the question appeared, how does the community participate in maintaining the existence of Lintas Merapi Community Radio based on disaster preparedness in Klaten until the year 2015? The research method used was a case study. A case study is an empirical study that investigated the phenomenon in the context of a real life. In case study method, the boundaries between the phenomenon of the context does not seem to firmly and the multi sourced evidences are used. The research sources derived interviews, participant observation, and documents. The results eventually showing that the society participation, both directly and indirectly an important part in the implementation of Lintas Merapi Community Radio‟s functions in disaster mitigation.
