Abstract Leadership and conflict resolution in many cases understood to be not having correlation. But in my opinion leadership and conflict resolution is an important formula to achieve peace. Studies of Nye and Hermann somehow illustrate that peace could be attained by capacitive leader as the agent of peace. In other word the leader is determinant of peace, if he pursues his ideal to curb the conflict and attain peace. Nye and Hermann somehow mention that transformative leader is an important determinant to attain peace in conflictual society inside his authority. And this idea reflected in the peace process of Bangsamoro Insurgency under Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino presidency. Benigno Aquino III or Noynoy Aquino could maintain the insurgency problem, deconstructs it, and build new face of peace in the southern Philippines with meaningful strategy to achieve peace. His leadership somehow in my opinions reflects the concept of constructive conflict resolution and rawlsian justice, which then can build synergy to hasten meaningful peace in Mindanao. It is reflected by minimum conflict frequency and boom of investation in Mindanao under his presidency. The challenge of polarity between MILF and MNLF and several other dangerous factor to attain peace in Mindanao do not stop Noynoy to glory the peace Keywords: Bangsamoro insurgency, conflict resolution, transformative leader, constructive conflict resolution, rawlsian justice.
