Doktrin Obama dalam Politik Luar Negeri Amerika Serikat

Abstract Throughout the history of the United States of America, there have been so many presidential doctrines that discussing the doctrine itself necessarily obliges us to look at U.S. foreign policy. We learned that presidential doctrines have played certain roles on U.S. foreign policy. When Barack Obama took the office in 2009, discussions about the Obama Doctrine had been already emerged in the media. But as the time goes, debates on what the Obama Doctrine is and Obama‟s grand strategy towards US foreign policy developed. Many critics came to address this doctrine and blames Obama‟s administration for what they called „U.S. reclined in international politics‟. This research is to understand the Obama Doctrine: how it developed, what the main strategies behind Obama‟s foreign policy are, and how the U.S. and the world would respond to such foreign policy strategies. This research demonstrates that the Obama Doctrine is actually an effective strategy in U.S. foreign policy and brings the betterment to American image throughout the world.
