ABSTRACT THE POSITION OF ERVANI EMY HANDAYANI NEWS CASE IN NEWSPAPERS (Content Analysis on Kedaulatan Rakyat and Harian Jogja Daily Newspapers October 29, 2014- January 5, 2015 period) UU ITE infringement case that ensnare Ervani Emy Handayani is one case that enough attention people of Yogyakarta. Cases that began when Ervani post facebook status on social media then reported by Dyas Sarastuti or Ayas with allegations of defamation through electronic media. Local print media were not spared Ervani proclaim this case, as well as Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper and Harian Jogja daily newspaper. Position reporting siding should not be done. A news is presented must be neutral and impartial. In this study it later emerged formulation of the problem, namely how to position reporting cases Ervani Emy Handayani in Kedaulatan Rakyat and Harian Jogja daily newspapers period October 29, 2014 - January 5, 2015? Researchers used quantitative content analysis method that seems right to see how the position of the news in the newspaper based on quantitative count. This study uses indicators of impartiality dimension as a starting measuring. Results from this study showed that Harian Jogja daily newspaper more positions that tend to side with Ervani, but not too closely aligned as well as Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper. It can be seen from 11 indicators provided, 4 indicators show a neutral position (not containing 4 indicators). Meanwhile, the results of subsequent data analysis showed that Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper tend to have a position reporting are also aligned to the Ervani as victims UU ITE compared Ayas as a victim of defamation. Evident of 11 indicators that are given, there is only one indicator that shows the neutral position (not containing these indicators, namely indicators of stereotypes).
