ABSTRACT As a democratic country, elections become a symbol the passage of democracy in a country, including Indonesia. Election and Political Party are pillars supporting democracy. At each post-reform elections, the appearance of new party became a phenomenon. Post-reform, the fight arena to seize power executive more powerful than the legislature. This is reinforced by changes in the country's constitution that strengthened the executive power, which then made the executive as the belle up for grabs. The appearance of Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) in 2008 is Presidentialized Party symptom that occurs after the reform. This paper will discuss the extent to which the phenomenon takes place in the Gerindra Party, includes how the context of the appearance and character and its organization. The research in this paper will use the method of qualitative analysis with perspective interpretation. Stages of data analysis are data reduction, organizing, and interpretation of the data. Methods of data collection is done by studying literature and documentation and interviews with sources of Gerindra. Gerindra indeed proved to be a party founded by motive to take Prabowo nominated as a presidential candidate. In terms of political motives, Party Gerindra get the effect of the phenomenon of presidensialization political parties. Gerindra Party political motive is affected by changes in the context of the constitutional realm and the realm of the system politics. The changes are creating a charm powers of the president who finally draw parties such as Gerindra to change the political maneuvering by the pursuit of power executives as the primary goal. Party management characterize the phenomenon of party presidensialization such as strong political phenomenon of patron-client where the patron as the main driver party which is central as well as the intensity of party activity is more intense in the president candidate blowing up.. Judging from the character and its organization, all the activities and management of the Party Gerindra to the party's behavior shows the charsacteristics of the presidential party. This character has a relation directly to Gerindra Organization. All maneuvers and political strategy carried out to raise the popularity of Gerindra as a new party, simultaneously by blowing up Prabowo broadest and profuse. In the internal Gerindra, Prabowo performance is like having Magical Ability (Etzioni, 1961) or Powerful Aura (Willner, 1984), which became the foundation for the party and the party elites. In the process of implementation of public policy, Gerindra in parliament shows the characteristics of pragmatism the pursuit of executive power, by seeking opportunities to criticize the government and patron advantageous to raise the popularity of the party plus the patron in the election. Nevertheless, the failure of Gerindra achieve these objectives to take up Prabowo Subianto as president, Gerindra apparently is on the verge of confusion as a result has been endless momentum the patron to be nominated. Various phenomena until now arrested is pursuit shift towards legislative powers than the executive, for reasons of political rationality.
