Perubahan dan Dampak Sosial Penjualan Tanah di Pantai Drini

ABSTRACT Gunungkidul current tourism has been recognized by local and foreign tourists, especially for the beach tourism. Thousands of tourists thronged the beach while on vacation or ordinary days. The popularity of tourist sites is an opportunity for investors to develop businesses there. So until now a lot of buying and selling land in the coastal areas. Coastal land owned by residents sold to investors with a high price. Based on this, this study examines the reasons people selling land to investors and how the process of social action they did. Then, this study wanted to show what the impact is felt the community after the land sale process. This research was conducted in the Drini Beach, Banjarejo Village, District Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. This study used a qualitative method with descriptive approach. Selection of informants in this study was done by using purposive method. Data collection using interviews, observation, literature study and documentation. Data analysis techniques in the study include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research result indicate that the coastal communities to sell the land to survive, because the majority of people living in poor economic conditions. In addition, people have the initiative to develop. Land that previously could not be processed eventually sold to buy land more productive so as to improve the economy. Social process involving the sale of land interaction and communication among citizens. Social change as a result of sales related to the sustainability of their social behavior in carrying out daily activities as well as in the organization. Land sales have a positive impact as reducing poverty, improving relationships, and reduce unemployment. While the negative impact, the public is increasingly self-orientation to continue to achieve personal interests and the exclusion of common interest.
