Kepentingan Korea Selatan dan POSCO dalam Joint Venture POSCO-PT. Krakatau Steel

ABSTRACT This work describes what South Korea's interests in the Joint Venture Corporation Krakatau POSCO. In addition, this work will also discuss the factors underlying action POSCO to do this collaboration. POSCO is a Multi-national Corportaion (MNC), instead of a State-owned enterprise, but South Korea use POSCO in this cooperation that could benefit South Korea. A MNC often disregard the interests of their home country in any policy taken. But why POSCO willing to become a partner for South Korea through a cooperation with Indonesia. In addition, South Korea also has sizable interests with the succession of this cooperation. Thus, South Korea use POSCO that may not will hear the interests of South Korea in this cooperation. Using the concept of strategic corporate alliances and also national interest, this paper will explain the motive of any action undertaken POSCO of South Korea and also in this cooperation.
