ABSTRACT Education and personal development of a student can be done by means of formal and informal. Berorgansasi is an informal method for a student to develop the capacity of intellectual, emotional and spiritual that he ha d. One such organization is Rohani Islam (Rohis). In Depok, West Java province in 1999 several Rohis SMA initiated an organization called the Muslim Student Alliance Forum Depok (FAPD) as a gathering place for Muslim students in the city of Depok. FAPD now been renamed the Unity of the Muslim Student Depok (KPMD). KPMD organization held a variety of events and activities for Muslim students organization's internal and Depok. The development and success KPMD, can be seen from the many activities carried out, the participation of studen ts in various activities of alumni KPMD active role. This study aims to determine why the organization can thrive KPMD in Depok and the extent of the role of social capital in the development of alumni KPMD, and determine whether there are factors other than alumni of outside organizations that influence the development KPMD. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. While the data collection was done by conducting in-depth interviews and observations to the actors involved. In addition to gett ing information from primary sources, this research is also supported by secondary sources such as documents. related to research and so forth The results showed that the supporting KPMD comes from students and institutions. Support students to KPMD Depok city can be seen from the presence of students in various activities held KPMD. Besides moral support came from the students who are members of the student council or school extracurricular activities in the form of aid that do KPMD publication. While the support that came from the agency consists of a variety of ways. Licensing, lending the place, training up funding. The support of them come from: Department of Education Depok, Depok City Government, DKM (Mosque Welfare Council) Masjid Baitul Kamal, the Majelis Ulama Indonesia Depok, DKM Al Muhajirin and AISI Foundation. While the role of social capital is affected by the alumni in KPMD tarbiyah value that is owned by the alumni. Typology of social capital as defined in tarbiyah perspective is: Qiadah wal Jundiyah (Leader and his army), where the spirit of charity together in a run organization with strict adherence to the decision by the Syura’ (consultation). Belief in Frame Brotherhood present due to an honest attitude that engenders trust between the a ctors involved and produce Ukhuwah Islamiah (Islamic brotherhood) and Student Propagation Network where students provide mass support, moral, political and material required for the existence of developing organizational KPMD.
