ABSTRACT Gunungkidul has a lot of tourism potential. One quite famous tourist attraction is Sri Gethuk Waterfall in rural Menggoran, Bleberan Village, DistrictPlayen. Waterfall tourist attraction Sri Gethuk have been known widely to other countries. Management of tourism potential of Sri Gethuk Waterfall performed by local youths who are members of the KelompokSadarWisataDesaBleberan, involvement or participation of youth groups in PokdarwisMenggoran is vital to the survival of tourism in Sri Gethuk Waterfall, tourism management conducted by Pokdarwis synonymous with the concept of Community Based Tourism. This study aims to determine the participation of youth groups in the management of Sri Gethuk Waterfall as a tourist attraction or a local community-based Community Based Tourism and to determine the factors inhibiting and supporting youth participation in the management of tourist destinations Sri Gethuk Waterfall. This research used a qualitative approach to determine the participation of the youth village Menggoran as Community Based Tourism in Sri Gethuk Waterfall. This study begins with a look at the background of the establishment of a tourist village Bleberan as tour manager in the hamlet Menggoran. Then determine the internal and external factors driving youth participation Menggoran village, after it is most important to see how the participation of youth in every stage from planning, implementation and evaluation stage stage because at these stages can be illustrated clearly how the shape of participation, then this study analyzes how youth participation in the management of Sri Gethuk using the principles in the Community Based Tourism .. The research result shows that Pokdarwis Tourism Village Bleberan be a clear manifestation of the seriousness of youth participation in tourism Menggoran. As a Community Based Tourism, there are principles of CBT that has been able to be fulfilled by the Tourism Village PokdarwisBleberan. The most dominant principle which would be met by the Tourism Village PokdarwisBleberan is the principle of environmental sustainability and environmental conservation are four inhibiting factors that led to these principles can not be fulfilled, namely: Socialization, funding, preparedness young and coordination with the government.
