2015 | Skripsi | SosiologiABSTRACT Lifestyle is a way of life that are identified from how people spend time (activity), what they consider important in their environment (interest), and what they think about themselves and the worldaround it (the opinion). Student lifestyle changes that can be seen from the way they dressed to go tocollege. They express the style of fashion with a wide range of ways, it is more personal. Nevertheless, the environmental aspect is also greatly affect personal desire that the students concerned. Thus, it ispossible also affect the external aspects related to the use of the artificial goods. Students in general want to be seen as modern people by always trying to follow the latest fashion. The use of artificial goods to support fashion student on campus increasingly indicate equalizing force between studentswho consume the artificial goods. This study aims: [1] to identify and describe changes in the lifestyle ofstudents at the University of Gadjah Mada, [2] to determine the consumer behavior of students at the University of Gadjah Mada related to the artificial goods. In this research used descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. In the study there were stages or flow ofactivities in data analysis techniques there are, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. In take of informants used purposive technique that making deliberately and purposeful. The results showed that there are two aspects behind the use of artificial goods those aspects of internal and external aspects. Internal aspect was desire of those who want to always look fashionable to look attractive in public, their boredom in appearance if the goods that they had only that, and the priceis cheap and affordable to get a quality artificial goods is also the reason students buy goods, While the views of the external aspect was the role of social media and the role of social environment in the form of a relation of friendship is to help them in determining the right style and fit for them. For students, the relations of friendship is affecting them in taking a decision because it is felt between them have thesame taste in fashion, especially artificial handbags.
