Abstraction The Role of Gospel Music Against Structural Violence in South Africa Post- Constitution of 1996 After the collapse of apartheid and the enactment of the constitution of 1996, the black population of South Africa is still experiencing structural violence of poverty, hunger, or discrimination. The Government considered less able to resolve the legacy of apartheid because its main focus of the national development through foreign investment. In 2002 rose a Gospel choir group whose existence was capable of against structural violence in South Africa. Gospel music movement against structural violence through three mechanisms. First, the movement was able to organize the black community of South Afric, they are mostly marginalized communities and discriminated in other aspects of life. Common identity which encourages the birth of a feeling of belonging to a group, and finally makes them want to act in a similar way and mutually beneficial. Secondly, mobilization is becoming increasingly easy to do by the Gospel Music movement because they had previously organized. Thirdly, appeals will be "injustice" are voiced in the form of songs by the choir Gospel music is proven to attract "an audience" in neutral wider community. Gospel Music movement is also able to provide social assistance for many other black people in South Africa are still experiencing violence structurally.
