2015 | Skripsi | SosiologiABSTRACT Lifestyle is a person's behavior or attempt to identify themselves as a particular class, in this case is the upper class. Lifestyle can be seen from various sides, and the focus of study in this thesis is about consumption practiced in your leisure time that will form a certain lifestyle. Communities that are the focus of this thesis is Hijabers Community Yogyakarta which contains a bunch of women who wear hijab. The community has some of the activities, such as Tausyiah, hijab class, class beauty, and charity. This study that seeks to explore how the structure of consumption and choice of leisure activity practiced by Hijabers Community Yogyakarta committee will describe certain lifestyle so that they can identify with their common and distinguish them from the masses. The research was conducted in Yogyakarta with descriptive qualitative method, which is supported by data from in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation to describe the activities that make up a particular lifestyle, causing a difference in the community. The difference is that a Muslim hijab is essentially the same in Islam but in fact there is a group of Muslim women who form a particular group. The subjects of this study are the committee of Hijabers Community Yogyakarta. The findings show that among the committee of Hijabers Community Yogyakarta has developed consumerism that is visible from the goods and services which they consume as well as a leisure activity options that refer to the emergence of the leisure class. The relation of friendship and equality of educational background and economic causes the committee to have the structure of consumption and choice of leisure activity that is almost the same. In terms of consumption, the structure is visible from the appearance consumption, food consumption, and cultural consumption of the committee that is always up to date. From this study it can be concluded that the Community Hijabers Yogyakarta becomes a fertile ground for growing consumerism that can be seen from their activities inside and outside the community. It does not reflect that the community has a dominant religious values, which refers to their culture of leisure time activity that is actually even more dominant, when Islam itself does not like things that are redundant. In addition, the emergence of the distinction between the communities and other groups poses its own exclusivity for Hijabers Community Yogyakarta thus creating distance with the underlying social class. However, of all the descriptions regarding Hijabers Community Yogyakarta, there are positive things indicated by the appearance of the community. Hijabers Community Yogyakarta is a religious community in which the activities in it looks prefer the profane things, but in fact, still consider it a religious, although in small portion. For example, the rules regarding no leggings, no jeans, and no tights, which show that they are trying to look Shar'ie. In addition, participants who can follow all the events Hijabers Yogyakarta are only Muslimah, which indicates that they keep a distance with the opposite sex as the Islamic Shari'a has told. Invited speaker is only Ustadzah, which refers to their commitment that the opposite sex can not be a part of their event. Keyword : Class, Consumption, Leissure Time, Community
